The purpose of this site and this forum is to allow anyone with an interest in improving Goodpasture Christian School and/or in obtaining information about Goodpasture School to have the opportunity to do so - anonymously if necessary.  Unfortunately, the ability to preserve anonymity is necessary because of a broad concern that teachers, principals and the administration may respond negatively - perhaps even retaliate - if it is perceived that the question or statement is not "positive" toward the school.   In my brief time on the Goodpasture Board of Directors, I not only witnessed this improper conduct but my family experienced it.  Gilbert Drake has admitted that he is aware of this "perception" concerning the school.

Notwithstanding false assertions to the contrary, this web site is not an "anti Gil Drake" or "anti Beverly Smith" or "anti anyone else" effort.  This site was created for the purpose of encouraging and fostering open discussions concerning the path that Goodpasture School is on and whether those in control should be encouraged, retained, released or redirected.  At present, there is clearly no consensus but the level of informed analysis varies widely because of intentionally limited access to relevant factual information.  Because of the atmosphere of repression, some stand alone or while others stand in the dark amongst many others who accept the status quo unwillingly or based upon limited knowledge of the facts.

This site is sponsored in the belief that the original mission of the school is worth protecting, preserving and promoting.  The question is whether those who are in control and even those who are handling the day to day tasks are competently and faithfully able to protect, achieve and further that mission or whether Goodpasture will continue, as some believe, to decline.
